The Antonian Sanctuaries of
Camposampiero
Camposampiero holds a special place in the final stretch of the Way of Saint Anthony. Here, in the late spring of 1231, the Saint found a refuge of peace and contemplation before setting out on his final journey to Padua. Two sacred sites, the Sanctuary of the Vision and the Sanctuary of the Walnut Tree, preserve the memory of those intense days, marked by prayer, preaching, and an extraordinary event: the apparition of the Christ Child to Saint Anthony.
